• Basaglar (insulin glargine injection) is a long-acting, man-made form of insulin that helps lower and maintain blood glucose levels. It works by replacing or supplementing the body’s natural insulin, providing a steady level of insulin activity for up to 24 hours with once-daily dosing. Basaglar is used in the treatment of both type 1 diabetes (in adults and children) and type 2 diabetes (in adults) to help reduce the risk of hyperglycemia and related complications.
