The Enbrel SureClick autoinjector (50 mg/mL etanercept) is intended for self-administration of Enbrel in the treatment of autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and plaque psoriasis

Safety features: The green safety guard protects the needle, locking automatically after injection. The white cap should only be removed just before use and never recapped

Storage & Handling:

Keep refrigerated at 2 °C to 8 °C (36 °F to 46 °F) until use.

After removal, allow autoinjector to reach room temperature (approx. 30 minutes); do not heat or freeze.

Once at room temperature, use within 30 to 14 days depending on guidance; do not return to fridge

Step-by-Step Injection Overview:

Preparation: Ensure you've been trained. Check expiry date, carton integrity, and clarity of the solution Gather supplies: alcohol wipe, cotton/gauze, bandage, sharps container

Injection Sites: Thigh, abdomen (avoiding a 2-inch area around the navel), or upper arm (if administered by another person)

Injection Process:

Remove white cap, place against skin at 90° angle.

Press down firmly: safety guard will release the purple button.

Press the purple button—hold until window turns fully yellow (~15 seconds). Click sounds may signal start and end

After the window turns yellow, withdraw device, check site (do not rub), apply bandage if needed

Dispose in sharps container

Safety Precautions:

Do not shake, freeze, or drop the device.

Discard if expired, damaged, or solution appears discolored or cloudy

Not for use in children under 138 lb (63 kg) for certain conditions

May suppress the immune system, increasing risk for serious infections — your healthcare provider will monitor accordingly
